Dr. Silvia Re is a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, professor at New York University, and the founder of Re Psychology NYC.
She has extensive experience in private practice, conducting outpatient therapy with college and graduate students, young adults, professionals, and couples. Her practice focuses on relationship issues, anxiety, stress management, personal identities, adjustment, and depression.
Dr. Re earned a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) accepting fewer than 8% of applicants.
She completed her clinical training at New York Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medicine, Pace University, and Hackensack University Medical Center, helping people from widely diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Re then served as a postdoctoral fellow at New York University, where she has also been teaching as adjunct faculty for graduate psychology students.
She is experienced in providing supervision to clinicians in training.
Consistently with her commitment to providing evidence-based treatment in her practice, Dr. Re has conducted research on immigrants’ experiences of adjustment to the North American culture, sexual health, and issues in clinical supervision. She co-authored a clinical assessment scale regarding couples’ expectations in couples therapy that is currently translated into several languages. She presented her work at several national and international conferences, including the American Psychological Association, Society of Psychotherapy Research, and Columbia University.
Dr. Re is a bilingual psychologist who speaks English and Italian.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), American Counseling Association (ACA), and New York State Psychological Association (NYSPA).

simon miller, ph.d.
Dr. Simon Miller is a Licensed Psychologist at Re Psychology NYC, specialized in adult and couples psychotherapy.
With a warm, collaborative approach grounded in evidence-based modalities, Dr. Miller cultivates a non-judgmental space where clients can safely explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and cultural identities.
He partners with adults facing depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, as well as the unique challenges of race, religion, faith, and spirituality. In couples sessions, Dr. Miller emphasizes communication skills, intimacy repair, and conflict resolution to foster deeper connection and mutual understanding.
Dr. Miller is also a doctoral graduate in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University.
He completed his clinical training at prestigious sites including Hackensack University Medical Center, Beth Israel Medical Center, and Montefiore Medical Center. He has several years of teaching and mentoring experience to college and graduate students and is an exceptional supervisor for mental health providers in-training.
Dr. Miller then expanded his experience in private practice as a postdoctoral fellow, working with highly diverse clienteles in both New York and New Jersey.
Drawing on extensive experience with people of color, immigrants, first-generation Americans, and other marginalized communities, he integrates a liberation-focused lens to promote healing and empowerment.
Dr. Miller’s research focused on the impact of ethnic and racial identities on the experiences of diverse populations in the United States.
He presented his research at several national conferences, including the American Psychological Association and Columbia University, and has been published on several national and international academic journals.
